We are Kees and Thera, born and raised in Friesland. For years, we've dreamed of buying a small farmhouse in Normandy and creating a place there where we can host guests.
Thanks to the television program "A Place Under the Sun," we found our dream location in 2024. We now live in Athis-Val-de-Rouvre, Normandy, with our Friesian horses.

La Maison Frisonne also means The Frisian House. We brought our Frisian roots and our Frisian horses to France, where everything comes together.

We've deliberately designed La Maison Frisonne as a place for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers. Therefore, during peak season (July and August), we only welcome adult guests, ensuring the peace, space, and relaxed atmosphere are preserved.

We are currently busy renovating our gîte, but we hope to welcome you to La Maison Frisonne very soon.
