Gîte La Baconnière
Named after our street name, it owes its name to the English word "Bacon." It was the English who gave it this name during the Hundred Years' War, referring to the pigs bred there at the time.
Now, some 600 years later, we want to create a beautiful gîte here. We'll begin renovations in September 2025 , creating a place entirely for you to unwind and enjoy the Normandy countryside.

Imagine: a cozy cottage surrounded by greenery and the freedom to just let go. That's exactly what our gîte has to offer...
What makes Gîte La Baconnière so special?
Private parking – you have your own parking space at your cottage.
The gîte is fully equipped - a double bed (with anti-allergy pillows), a nice bathroom, and a cozy living room with kitchen.
Paved terrace and private garden with fruit trees – naturally with a picnic table. Ideal for enjoying the view outdoors.
View of our Friesian horses – a beautiful view of our two mares: Idenza and Silhouette. But they're also regularly accompanied by deer, foxes, and wild boar...
And we have news: we are expecting a foal from Silhouette in the spring.Fresh breakfast – start your day with a delicious breakfast: including eggs from our own chickens, homemade jam made with fruit from our own farm, and fresh rolls from the local boulangerie.
Kees enjoys cooking – occasionally Kees cooks a meal for our guests, and we always enjoy it when people join us for a pleasant evening.
Help with the animals – if you enjoy it, you're more than welcome to join us in caring for our animals. It's a wonderful way to connect even more with nature and the environment.
